Yesterday, the girls flag football and boys flag football teams suited up with and against Carmel Campus alumni. It was an enjoyable afternoon that pitted a predominantly seventh grade team versus a mostly eighth grade team. Alums Victor, Alex, Branson, Rylend and Hunter were mixed into the teams to even things out.
Despite help from the alums, the eighth graders had a hard time putting the clamp on the seventh grade offense. No official score was kept, but it seemed that the Grade 7 crew found the end zone more often than their opponents.
Many thanks to everyone that participated, especially Coach Klevan for coming up with the idea and reaching out to alums. Also, thanks to Andrew Kim for helping ref.
Due to the success of yesterday's event, look for this to become an annual tradition. Go Pirates!
